SANDOZ Indonesia, an establish multinational pharmaceutical company looking for dedicated and dynamic individual to join our team as :

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Job Purpose (State in one sentence the overall objective of the role)

  • To ensure that commercially viable new products are continually adopted into the new product pipeline and that company strategy regarding new product acquisition and investment is appropriate.

  • To propose business strategies for key product lines e.g. Biogenerices, Transdermal patches etc as well as traditional pharmaceutical dose-forms by actively researching the market in order to assess all opportunities for growth.

  • To analyse the market for competitors, market penetration and pricing in order to provide an evaluation on the feasibility and probability of success in launching new products over the next 5 to 10 years and for any short –term early gains.

  • To establish contacts with key competitor companies and suppliers both locally and globally.

Major Accountability (Describe the 5-7 main results of the role to be achieved)

  • Identify suitable new products for the Sandoz pipeline by means of patent expiry data, market data and personal network.

  • Source and procure financially viable new products for Sandoz pipeline by means of maintenance of an extensive global network of contacts and companies, building upon Licensor/Licensee relationships and reliability.

  • Implement and construct and innovative ways in ensuring cost effective, risk sharing mechanisms of new product access along the lines of partnership, own development or licensing whichever is deemed to be most appropriate for the partner concerned.

  • Continually review corporate and local pipelines seeking to establish alternative access sources in case of obstacles and delays in development by means of personal contacts, networks and negotiation.

  • Assist Head Corporate HQ Licensing by recommending new products for consideration, identification of alternative sources and alternative deals for Generics Business Unit portfolio product candidates through personal knowledge and sharing of contacts.

  • Constantly review local and corporate pipeline progress and expedite all local activity aimed at earliest launch dates by liaison within own Division as well as Sales/Logistics/Finance, Commercial Divisions and external suppliers.
